A great night parade where 1,600 participants marched to the sound of brass bands and percussions with giant lanterns, masks and costumes.
They illustrated a hot topic through the form of a satirical, caricature fantasy and social criticism.
Switzerland was in the limelight with the world’s oldest carnival, the one in Basel, opening the parade.
